Our aim has been from the outset to make distinctly different, international class wines, exhibiting both elegance and complexity. This is achieved not only by careful attention to detail and management during each vintage but also from the initial planning of the vineyard. As the soil is the soul of the vineyard, John carefully analysed both the soil structure and contours of the vineyard, prior to any planting. He then matched each unique plot to a selected classic grape variety. We believe the uniqueness and success of the wines is attributed to this.
