Omaka Springs Estates is the family owned business of Geoff and Robina Jensen. In 1990, seeking a location similar to Northern Portugal, Provence or Tuscany, the Jensens initially established an olive grove near Nelson. In 1992, Geoff and Robina moved the olive grove to a site alongside a newly purchased 16 hectare vineyard in the picturesque Omaka Valley, right in the heart of the world-famous Marlborough grape growing area. Omaka Springs Estates now has over 70 hectares of vines under cultivation. Omaka Springs Estates produces cool climate varietal grapes, with a bias to Sauvignon Blanc. These grapes are used to make award winning wines at the on-site winery, where the aim is to make only high quality wines at affordable prices.
