Brookfields Vineyards

Hawkes Bay

Brookfields Logo.

Brookfields Vineyards is situated between Napier and Hastings. Originally founded in 1937 the winery was purchased in 1977 by Peter Robertson who has transformed it into a leading small volume winery for the connoisseur. Producing just 8,000 to 10,000 cases of wine per year Brookfield's best wines are the classic Bordeaux style varieties of Chardonnay and Cabernet. Whilst shy of competitions, the winery has won its share of gold including a gold for its 2003 Merlot Cabernet at the 2005 Royal Easter Wine Show. Winemaker Peter Robertson's Marshall Bank Chardonnay is creamy, toasty and complex. His gold label Cabernet Merlot is characterised by a dark colour and ripe fruit flavours. Both wines are made for cellaring.
