Jackson Estate has a 160 year history in Marlborough. The Jackson family came to New Zealand in 1842 on the Martha Ridgeway from Runnymede in England. Since that time each successive generation has cultivated the property known as Jackson Estate. First in wheat, barley and oats, and now in grapes. Under the guidance of John and Jo Stichbury, Jackson Estate now produces some of New Zealand’s best Sauvignon Blanc as well as good Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Jackson's Estate's Sauvignon Blanc 2005 was awarded Blue Gold at the Sydney International Wine Competition 2006.
Jackson Estate wines are available direct from the winery by mailorder or the internet, from most New Zealand wine outlets, and are exported to Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Asia and Australia.
