
Kaimira are a family-owned winery in Brightwater, Nelson. Early in 2008 they secured carboNZero certification; subsequently their whole business has been accredited under the Sustainable Winegrowing programme. They produce around 12,000 cases annually under two brands: Kaimira Estate, which delivers premium dry-style wines designed to be paired with food, and Brightside, a range of accessible, yet high quality wines. All wines are 100% varietal: Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Rosé, and Pinot Noir. The first commercial vintage was in 2000, and since then they've achieved trophies or gold medals for Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Chardonnay.
