
Mud House Wines is owned by four New Zealand families (97% ownership). Since 1996, Mud House Wines has grown from 300 cases to over 90,000. In the first year of production, Mud House Wines 1997 Sauvignon Blanc won the Winestate "Gregoire Trophy", and was judged best of the 332 wines entered.
The 2007 vintage marks a significant progression for Mud House Wines. Through acquisitions and contract growers, Mud House is releasing wines from across New Zealand’s key wine growing regions. Wines sourced from regions such as Central Otago, Gisborne, Waipara Valley will join the already famous Mud House Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Mud House is dedicated to building on its impressive tally of medals and trophies in national and international wine competitions with these exciting new 2007 vintage releases.
2006 Mud House Swan Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc was awarded a gold medal at the 2007 Royal Easter Show Wine Awards. The recently released 2006 Mud House Swan Central Otago Pinot Noir has just been awarded a gold medal at the prestigious 2007 Bragato awards.
