Peregrine Wines is located in the Gibbston region of Central Otago – just an easy 20 minute drive from Queenstown. Peregrine Wine's focus is on growing premium Pinot Noir and white varieties from their estate managed vineyards located in Gibbston and Cromwell. Peregrine's first vintage was in 1998. Production was small, but the results were good. The 1998 Sauvignon Blanc won trophies in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. Peregrine Wine’s 1999 Pinot Noir won Gold at the Royal Easter Show and the Bragato awards. Peregrine Wine's Pinot Gris 2000 was awarded the trophy for champion Pinot Gris at the Royal Easter Wine Awards 2001.

The winery is a must see. Designed by Chris Kelly of Architecture Workshop, it has won awards from the London based Architecture Review magazine and the NZ Institute of Architects.
