Ransom Wines is located off state Highway 1 in Warkworth, about one to two hours drive north of Auckland City. The winery has built a solid reputation for its Chardonnay and Pinot Gris wines. It also produces a range of Bordeaux style reds. Ransom Wines is a good place to visit, especially if you are looking for a break on a drive to the Bay of Islands. Visitors can enjoy wine tasting and tapas, along with pleasant views of the gently rolling vineyard.

The winery and cafe is open for tastings and food 7 days a week over summer, from 10am to 5pm.
