Isabel Estate was established in 1982 and is owned by Michael and Robyn Tiller. It is one of the region's larger family owned vineyards, and one of the few to make its wines solely from its own grapes. Isabel's philosophy is to "respect the soil where the grapes grow and allow the unique characters of each vineyard and variety to be expressed in the final wine". Best varieties are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling and a botrytised Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc. Recent awards include a silver medal at the International Wine Challenge 2000 in London for its Sauvignon Blanc 1999. Isabel's 2000 Sauvignon Blanc was named one of Decanter magazine's "white wines of the year", and awarded five stars.
Isabel Estate wines are available locally, although the majority of production is destined for markets in Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe and the USA
