We are located just 20 minutes from downtown Auckland in the beautiful Oratia Valley, a peaceful haven of green on the edge of the city.
Our restaurant is open from Tuesday through to Sunday from 11am to 5pm. However, on Saturday mornings during the winter months we are open from 9 am for breakfast and close at 5pm.

Our head Chef Pedraig originally comes from Croatia where he grew up on a farm. He learnt about horticulture and agriculture, as well as cooking, preserving, and making charcuterie from his parents. His style is contemporary, using modern technology, elements of molecular gastronomy, foraging for rare ingredients, and specialising in Charcuterie. He makes many of the cured meats on our tasting platters himself using traditional techniques passed down to him by his family.

This is truly a building for all seasons as you watch the birdlife on the lake on a summer’s afternoon, or feel the fury of winter as the rain lashes the lake and sends the overflow beneath you in a veritable waterfall. Metres away are the vines, with the building’s transparency letting you possibly observe the pruning process, leaf-plucking, fruit thinning, and if the time is right, the harvest itself!

Superbly situated in a spectacular vineyard location in the grape-growing region of Matakana, just north of Auckland, Plume offers glorious 180-degree views of vineyards, fields, valleys and mountains.
Offering both indoor and patio dining, we are open for Lunch Wed to Sun 11am-3pm, Wine Tastings 11am – 4pm Wednesday to Friday, 10am – 4pm Saturday and Sunday, Dinner 6pm onwards on Friday and Saturday.
In the peak summer holidays from 27th December to Anniversary Weekend we are open daily for lunch and Wednesday to Saturday nights for dinner
We are closed Good Friday, Christmas and Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

The menu changes seasonally to capture the very best of the seasonal produce from local purveyors. Vegetarian options are always available. Gluten free can be provided on specific request and advanced intimation is advisable.
The entire facility can be booked for your exclusive use, or the Restaurant, Wine Library, larger Rengarenga Room and The Nest can all be booked separately.

Open 7 days a week for lunch and breakfast available on the weekends, it is the perfect place to bring family or friends. We serve Mediterranean-style food with a New Zealand twist and the menu changes seasonally enabling our chefs to showcase the fresh, seasonal produce from around the region. Soljans Café is a family-friendly venue, with a dedicated childrens menu and outdoor playhouse to keep our younger guests entertained.
Our Auckland Vineyard Café is open 7 days for lunch, serving delicious food and wines. Enjoy a glass of Villa Maria wine on the terrace which overlooks the Ihumatao Vineyard, share a platter or have lunch. Lunch menu served from 11:30am – 3:30pm
