Mercury Bay Estate

Mercury Bay Estate Winery and Restaurant is located at Cooks Beach in the Coromandel. Planted in the late 1990’s meaning the average vine age is around 20 years which provides our estate grown wines with real depth and intensity. The vineyard of 3 hectares is planted exclusively with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with the latter crafted into a number of differing styles.

Cellar Door

The Cellar Door & Restaurant is located at the vineyard where all of our wines can be sampled. We offer tasting ‘flights’ of either 2 or 4 wines which are presented at the table rather than the cellar door ‘bar’ because we believe that this provides a more relaxed, enjoyable and no pressure tasting experience. It also allows customers to match the wines with food from our.

Vineyard Restaurant

The Restaurant is well known for its stunning elevated location over looking the vineyard and out to Mercury Bay. It offers tempting array of seasonal dishes & Platters utilising fresh local and imported produce as well as wood fired Pizza over summer. Open 7 days a week for Lunch (kitchen open until 3pm) from Labour weekend until Easter, otherwise 5 days a week. We are also open one evening per week on a Sunday when we host the ‘Serial Griller’ Burger truck.

Our lunch menu is available from 11am until 3pm. An afternoon snacks menu for service between 3 and 4pm is also available. Please note that bookings are highly recommended to avoid disappointment, especially over the summer months.

In the restaurant/cafe we have indoor and outdoor seating offering an a la carte menu, cafe style. Blackboard specials are available every day, featuring entrees, mains and desserts. Tea, Atomic Coffee, and a range of beverages including fruit juices, soft drinks and beers are also available.
