Salvare Estate is a 15 acre Chardonnay vineyard located on Ngatarawa Road in Hawkes Bay. Quality fruit is also sourced from other Hawkes Bay growing areas such as Gimblett Road to broaden the range.
Steve and Bev Nathan created the new Salvare brand with zero experience in the industry. But despite their inexperience, and major lifestyle change the Nathan family have embraced the industry and are enjoying their new start.
With a determination to be creative and successful, the Nathans vision is to be a quality boutique winery. They have already established a brand that is stylish and their wine has received a warm response from the public during trial tasting sessions.
Cellar Door Tasting Room
We have long held the view that our cellar door tasting room is the key to our business. Since opening we have been focused on creating a cellar door experience visitors will remember.
Salvare is the Latin source of our word salvation and thats what you find when you visit us. Winners of Hawkes Bay Cellar Door of the Year, we are small, relaxed and unpretentious.
Along with the wines, you can enjoy a platter or do a tasting of locally grown olive oils, Dukkahs, Chardonnay mustard and many other local food products. You can also view artworks by Greytown artist Lisa Matthys.
Our cellar door at 403 Ngatarawa Rd, Bridge Pa is open:
Monday to Sunday from 10.30am to 4.30pm
Wednesday to Monday from 10.30am to 4.00pm (we recommend that you call to confirm)
While booking are not required we do ask that large groups let us know they are coming so that we can ensure you receive the full "Salvare Experience"
If you would like to contact us to make a booking we can be reached on 0800 HBWINE (0800 429 463) or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you at the cellar door some time.
Salvare Estate is a small 6 hectare chardonnay block on Hawkes Bays rich Ngatarawa Triangle.
The block was planted 6 years ago and operated as a contract grower. The fruit from this block had always been supplied to local wineries.
We decided we wanted to diversify and develop the block to produce premium quality fruit which could be split between the contract side of the business and producing our own vintage.
