Southbank wines are crafted from premium fruit selected from the stunning vineyards of Marlborough at the north-eastern end of the South Island of New Zealand.
At Southbank Estate our Winemaking and Viticulture team are committed to crafting unique New Zealand wines with distinct regional characteristics.
Each varietal in our range has been crafted to reflect the distinct regional characters of Marlborough.
The fruit for our wines is sourced from vineyards that border the southern bank of the Wairau River in Marlborough, from which the name Southbank Estate has evolved.
After graduating from a degree in Viticulture and Oenology from Lincoln University in 2002, Jeff worked for Villa Maria in Marlborough for five years.
Jeff has a love for winemaking which has seen him complete three vintages abroad - Burgundy with Louis Jadot, California with Williams Selwyn and Tasmania with Tamar Ridge.
Jeff enjoys winemaking as every vintage is different, with plenty of challenges along the way. He is passionate about sustainable winemaking and crafting wines with distinctive regional flavours and characteristics.
