Located within the Wairarapa Valley of Martinborough, the region is cooler and drier than any other on the North Island, and like Marlborough across the Cook Strait, it is exposed to cold winds that funnel in from the southern ocean. Aged on the `lees` for 5 months the wine shows aromas of grapefruit and sweet melon along with mineral and yeasty notes. Medium bodied on the palate with beautiful balance and a long lasting finish.
