Our Cafe is open in Summer from the first weekend in December, Wed – Sun from 11am.
We serve platters, fresh country lunches, desserts and coffee. Tables are available in sheltered indoor/outdoor courtyards overlooking lily pond with bridge.

The cafe has a new in-house chef, John McFeat. An exciting new winter menu has been designed and kicks off in April. There is indoor seating as well as covered outdoor and fully outdoor. Transparent blinds have been installed for all-season dining. The tables and setting provide a rustic and enjoyable atmosphere with views out to the vineyard. There is a play area for children allowing parents to sit back and relax with a drink and a meal.
The café and cellar door is open for meals 7 days a week January to March, otherwise Thursday to Sunday from 11.00 am to 5.00pm. The Fox n Grapes wine bar operates from 5pm on Friday evenings throughout the year, meals are available through to 8pm. We will be open on Labour Day, no surcharges, bookings recommended.
There is full range of Moutere Hills wine available including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Rose, Pinot Noir and Sparkling. For those who prefer beer, we also have boutique brewery beer on tap.
Currently on tap Sprig & Fern Fern Lager, Golden Bear Hot Lips, Golden Bear Nelson Easy and Hops Federation IPA.
The Vineyard Restaurant and Function Centre named ‘Petite Fleur at Seifried Estate’, is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike looking for a chance to take a little time out and celebrate what the beautiful Nelson region has to offer.
Fresh local cuisine is perfectly paired with wine grown and made on site and the vineyard garden offers a place where even the younger family members will enjoy themselves in the children’s playground. Petite Fleur is the perfect location to spend time enjoying Nelson’s long afternoons with a glass or two of your favourite Seifried wine – on the lawn or cosy next to the open fireplace during the colder months.
Owners, German born chef Horst Wellmeyer and his Kiwi partner Justine Robertson, both have a passion for people and the hospitality industry and we are honoured to have them with us. Their focus is on outstanding customer service, fabulous fresh food and an overall exceptional dining experience.
Petite Fleur is open Thursday to Sunday for lunch 11am – 3pm. Group booking enquiries are welcome for all other times. Tour groups are very welcome, however we do require a reservation.
