Since 1992 Foxes Island has been producing world class, single vineyard wines, with a dedicated focus to Pinot Noir. As the vineyard is remote, founder and winemaker John Belsham and his partner Kelly Brown opened the Foxes Island City Cellar Door in the heart of Ponsonby-Grey Lynn, Auckland.
The industrial yet comfortably chic space is designed to be flexible and accommodating where people can taste and learn about wine and connect with Foxes and the people behind the wines.
The cellar door is in Auckland and open Monday to Saturday for wine tasting and retail sales. Private tastings are also available by appointment.
A bit about John Belsham: Having started his winemaking career in the Medoc region of Bordeaux in 1977, John Belsham is recognized internationally as an astute winemaker, consultant and wine critic. Belsham is also a wine consultant to Air New Zealand and leads the wine selection for Cuisine Magazine.
