The fertile soils of the Kumeu district bear export quality produce, including feijoa, berry fruit, wine grapes and citrus. Maori, the first inhabitants of New Zealand, were aware of this early on.
Huapai, a neighbouring district, translates from the Maori language to ‘good fruit’. In fact, it is only good fruit which is pressed and fermented to make our Kiwi Estate label wines.
Kiwifruit, Feijoa and Boysenberry wines are skilfully crafted in both still and sparkling varietals. Our premium Kiwifruit Gold Leaf is another popular still wine.
