Overview
Aragonesas Coto de Hayas Viñas del Cierzo Reserva is a sophisticated red wine, crafted from a blend of 86% Garnacha, 10% Syrah, and 4% Mazuela. Sourced from old, rainfed vineyards situated on slate and clay-ferrous soils, this wine captures the essence of its terroir. After fermentation, it undergoes 12 months of ageing in French oak barrels, followed by additional bottle maturation, resulting in a wine of exceptional complexity and character.
Tasting Notes:
This Reserva presents a deep cherry-red colour with a bright, lustrous hue. The nose is of high intensity, showcasing complex aromas of red and black fruits, complemented by mineral undertones and subtle smoky, spicy notes from the oak ageing. On the palate, the wine is rich and full-bodied, with a delightful fusion of fruitiness, spices, and lingering cocoa and coffee notes that reflect its time in barrel. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving a lasting impression of its intricate flavour profile.
