Overview
The Gravel Track Shiraz showcases the Barossa Valley’s resilience and excellence in winemaking. Crafted from premium vineyards, this wine underwent a 10-day cool fermentation followed by secondary fermentation and 12 months’ maturation in French and American oak, enhancing its depth and complexity. The 2020 growing season presented challenges, with minimal rainfall, high winds, and heat spikes resulting in lower yields but exceptional quality, with intense colour and concentrated flavours.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of vibrant plum and blackberry are complemented by nuances of chocolate and earthy undertones. The palate is rich and bold, delivering dark fruit flavours with hints of black pepper spice. Juicy and fruit-driven, this Shiraz strikes a balance between power and elegance, finishing with velvety tannins and a lingering richness that epitomises Barossa Valley craftsmanship.
