The Scout Wines Chardonnay is a refined Central Otago expression, sourced from two outstanding subregions — the steep, north-facing Bendigo Terraces and the cool, mature vines of Lowburn. Crafted with natural fermentation and partial malolactic fermentation in barrel, it balances purity of fruit with texture and complexity, showcasing both the energy and elegance of these remarkable sites.
Tasting Notes:
Aromas of white stone fruit are lifted by a subtle struck match character, leading into a palate that is layered, textural and beautifully poised. Bright acidity frames the fruit, while oak adds gentle structure without overpowering. Harmonious and balanced, this Chardonnay is delicious now but will continue to evolve gracefully over the next five years. Perfect with roast chicken, creamy seafood dishes or soft-rind cheeses.
