Overview:
The Domaine Dubost Morgon is a striking example of one of Beaujolais’ most powerful crus. Crafted from Gamay grown on shale-rich soils, it delivers both depth and vibrancy, showcasing the hallmark cherry-driven style of Morgon. With its firm structure, mineral edge and expressive fruit, this cuvée is a testament to Jean-Paul Dubost’s commitment to traditional, terroir-driven winemaking.
Tasting Notes:
Fresh and aromatic, the wine opens with notes of blackberry, redcurrant and dark cherry layered with sweet spice and a subtle mineral thread. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a fleshy yet crunchy texture, framed by firm tannins and crisp acidity. The finish is long and silky, carrying vivid dark and blue fruits with hints of pepper. Best served after being uncorked an hour in advance, it pairs beautifully with red meats, especially grilled or slow-cooked beef. Drink now or cellar for further development.
