The Frescobaldi Tenuta Perano Riserva Chianti Classico is crafted from Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, grown in the prestigious Chianti Classico region at an altitude of 500 meters in Gaiole in Chianti. The natural amphitheater-shaped vineyards, with their south-western exposure, offer exceptional pedoclimatic conditions that allow Sangiovese to express itself with elegance and character. After a meticulous handpicking process, the wine is aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months, resulting in a wine of great depth and finesse.
Tasting Notes
The Tenuta Perano Riserva Chianti Classico boasts a bright, intense ruby-red color. The bouquet is complex, with an enticing mix of fruity notes such as sour cherry, blueberry, raspberry, and goji berry, accompanied by delicate floral hints of sweet violet and rose hip. The wine also features wonderfully spiced aromas, including liquorice, clove, and subtle roasted nuances that develop during the oak aging process. On the palate, it is well-balanced with a fine acid-alcohol equilibrium and velvety-smooth tannins, delivering a rich and harmonious finish. This Chianti Classico Riserva is an ideal companion for hearty dishes such as roasted meats, wild game, and pasta with rich sauces.
