The Sheild Wines Meunier Rosé is a refined and expressive rosé crafted from 100 percent Pinot Meunier grown at the confluence of the Waimea and Wai-iti rivers in Nelson. With the region’s long sunshine hours and cool coastal influences, the fruit develops purity and vibrancy, producing a wine that balances delicacy, freshness and subtle complexity.
Tasting Notes
Pale Provençal pink in colour, this rosé opens with lifted floral aromas alongside ripe melon and hints of citrus. The palate is light to medium bodied, with a touch of residual sugar enhancing the fruit while remaining clean, dry and refreshing. Juicy citrus acidity and a subtle saline note add length and finesse, carrying the wine to a mineral-driven finish. Best served well chilled, it is the perfect companion for summer afternoons, seafood platters or elegant outdoor dining.
