Overview
The Louis Jadot Côte de Beaune-Villages offers a refined expression of Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune region, bridging the gap between regional Burgundy wines and the prestigious Crus. This light-bodied red is crafted from small, dark red berries, harvested from vineyards in all Côte de Beaune villages, excluding four. After destemming, the grapes undergo a four-week maceration in open vats, allowing the wine to fully express its terroir. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, it achieves a delicate balance of fresh fruit and subtle spice, making it an excellent introduction to Burgundy’s more complex Crus wines.
Tasting Notes
The Côte de Beaune-Villages reveals bright aromas of candied strawberry and cherry, accompanied by hints of spice and earthy undertones. On the palate, dusty tannins provide a gentle structure, while the light body allows the wine’s vibrant fruit character to shine. The finish is graceful, with lingering spice notes that round off the experience.
