Overview
The Settlement Pinot Noir is a pure and expressive red sourced from the organically certified Settlement Vineyard in the Omaka Valley. Planted in 2009 on steep north-facing slopes with shallow loess over clay loam, this hillside site captures both sunshine and complexity, producing Pinot Noir of vibrancy and depth. Certified organic since 2016, the vineyard’s unique terroir is reflected in this finely balanced and fragrant wine.
Tasting Notes
Mid-ruby in the glass, the bouquet is lifted and perfumed with red and dark fruits, layered with delicate eastern spice. The palate is soft and generous, carrying ripe red berry flavours supported by subtle saline tannins that bring finesse and length. Silky and elegant, this Pinot Noir is delicious now but will continue to develop further complexity with careful cellaring. Pair with roast duck, mushroom risotto or chargrilled lamb for a perfect match.
