The Johner Estate Lime Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir, a Silver Medal winner, hails from the estate's Lime Hill Vineyard in Masterton, situated on a gently sloping hill with a thin layer of clay over limestone. This terroir produces a Burgundy-style Pinot Noir with a rich, intense profile and excellent cellaring potential. The vines, established in 2013, are nurtured to deliver exceptional quality fruit.
Tasting Notes
This Pinot Noir reveals a nose filled with dark, ripe red berries, complemented by the faintest touch of French oak vanilla bean. On the palate, it showcases a rich, intense mid-palate, with a perfect balance of acidity and tannins that provide structure and elegance. The wine's depth and complexity make it a standout expression of the Lime Hill Vineyard’s unique terroir.
