Overview:
Black Barn Vineyards Barrel Fermented Chardonnay 2024 is a vibrant and finely crafted expression of Hawke’s Bay, offering purity of fruit with refined complexity from French oak fermentation. Black Barn Vineyards spans eight hectares on one of the oldest grape-growing areas in New Zealand. All fruit is estate-grown, with 65 to 70 per cent of production dedicated to Bordeaux red varieties alongside their acclaimed Chardonnay.
Tasting Notes:
Lemon straw with green hues. The bouquet opens with citrus peel, fig and stone fruit, layered with toasty oak and a subtle flinty edge. The palate is full and textured, carrying ripe fruit flavours seamlessly into a long, elegant finish. Balanced acidity and oak integration highlight both vibrancy and refinement.
