Overview
Crafted by the late Denis Durantou of L’Eglise Clinet, Château Saintayme is a refined expression of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. Sourced from a 9-hectare plot of 35-year-old Merlot vines in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, this 100% Merlot cuvée delivers remarkable depth, purity, and poise. A hidden gem from one of Bordeaux’s most respected winemakers.
Tasting Notes
The bouquet is lifted and aromatic, revealing bright red berry fruit, truffle, and subtle smoky notes. On the palate, supple tannins frame flavours of ripe cherry, liquorice, and spice, with earthy undertones of forest floor. Medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, it offers elegance now and promise through 2029.
