Overview:
The Prophet’s Rock ‘Cuvée Aux Antipodes’ Pinot Noir is a landmark collaboration between François Millet of Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé in Burgundy and Paul Pujol of Prophet’s Rock in Central Otago. Crafted from one of the estate’s finest vineyard plots, it combines Burgundian tradition with New Zealand terroir, resulting in a Pinot Noir of striking purity, poise and refinement. This cuvée has quickly earned a reputation for redefining what Kiwi Pinot can achieve.
Tasting Notes:
A wine of clarity and balance, it carries a medium weight with remarkable lightness and length. Aromas of dark cherry, red berry and spice are lifted by savoury earth and floral undertones. The palate is silky and precise, with fine tannins and bright acidity supporting layers of fruit and subtle oak. Decanting now reveals its depth and nuance, though the wine’s true potential lies ahead, with ageing promising even greater complexity.
