Overview:
The Prophet’s Rock Infusion Pinot Noir is a bright and elegant expression designed to showcase freshness, vibrancy and versatility. Crafted from a single parcel in the Rocky Point vineyard, it is both fermented and aged in barrel, resulting in a refined wine that sits somewhere between a light red and a chilled Pinot Noir. Winemaker Paul Pujol describes it as a “chilled red,” and it is as compelling lightly cooled on a summer evening as it is served at the table with food.
Tasting Notes:
Enticing aromas of raspberry, cherry and hedgerow fruit are lifted by floral notes of rose and violet, with a delicate touch of chocolate kirsch adding depth. The palate is bone-dry and finely structured, with sweet red fruits of pomegranate, raspberry and cherry supported by gravelly tannins and lively acidity. Textural, bright and delicious, it finishes with elegance and length. Enjoy in its youth for its vibrancy or cellar for 5–7 years to allow savoury complexity to unfold.
